2. Things to note before installation
2.1 Before opening the outer packaging, check whether the outer packaging of the goods is intact and whether the goods are damaged.
2.2 After opening the package, carefully clean the oil and dust from the motor casing.
2.3 Check the nameplate to see if it matches the equipment.
2.4 Carefully check whether the motor is damaged, whether the fasteners are loose, or whether they were lost during transportation. Turn the rotor by hand to check whether the rotation is flexible.
2.5 Use a 500-volt megger to measure the insulation resistance of the coil to the shell. The value should not be less than 1 megohm. Otherwise, the stator should be dried at a temperature not exceeding 120°C.
3. Installation of electric motor
3.1 Screw the coupling screw into the pump coupling and keep it vertical
3.2 Remove the cap on the top of the motor
3.3 Clean the installation surface, install the motor vertically through the pump connecting rod on the bottom flange support surface, and tighten the fastening bolts
